Credit card fraud and identity theft is a growing concern here in the UK.

Last year saw online card fraud top half a billion pounds, an increase of 37% on 2006.

What are your views on the subject?

Are your credit card companies offering enough protection or is more needed?

Have you been a victim of identity theft?

I've been a victim of ID theft, it was traced to a service station i used near Gamlin*** in Bedfordshire.

Not quite as exotic as all that fancy foreign ID theft.

Anyway, my bank were cool and sorted it all out with minimum fuss. I was happy.

Gamlin*** sounds pretty exotic...

How do you feel now though? Have you lost faith in the fraud prevention system?

I think ID theft is a symptom of modern living that one must simply come to terms with and accept, as unfortunate and defeatist as that sounds.

It'll happen to us all at one stage of our lives. Like having your heart broken, or getting a rubbish present at christmas when you thought you were going to get something really cool.
