Virgin Media will double the number of hours it throttles the bandwidth of customers who overuse its network day and night. These customers will now receive a compromised connection for up to five hours.
I’m not that heavy at downloading but they have constantly throttled my connection for nearly a year and I’m sick of it, 5pm on the dot i get as little as 7-9kbps, as you can imagine web pages take ages to load, i had a right go at customer services and they lied by saying "We do not throttle or slow down connections" then why do i get 800kbps during the day and only 7-9kbps after 5pm, they said there must be a fault with your equipment, I nearly choked on my own spit, i live next to my exchange and get 7.9MB, i said don’t talk crap to me and I’ll have my mac code for that.....now waiting to complete transfer to another company! Thank god!!!
