Just a quick heads up to Virgin Media customers.

Virgin Media will double the number of hours it throttles the bandwidth of customers who overuse its network day and night. These customers will now receive a compromised connection for up to five hours.

The full story is here:

**** Virgin Media, this should be illegal. Good thing there isn't a monopoly on ADSL, yet...

The second Be does this I'm switching suppliers.

That information is classified.

Also it's false advertising, if they say "unlimited downloads" and then CLEARLY state you can't go over XXX amount, then how is that "unlimited"?

There's no such thing as unlimited downloads:

I’m not that heavy at downloading but they have constantly throttled my connection for nearly a year and I’m sick of it, 5pm on the dot i get as little as 7-9kbps, as you can imagine web pages take ages to load, i had a right go at customer services and they lied by saying
"We do not throttle or slow down connections"
then why do i get 800kbps during the day and only 7-9kbps after 5pm, they said there must be a fault with your equipment, I nearly choked on my own spit, i live next to my exchange and get 7.9MB, i said don’t talk crap to me and I’ll have my mac code for that.....now waiting to complete transfer to another company! Thank god!!!
