I got into a little credit card debt a while ago and ended up using a debt management company, who were quite good at keeping the wolves at bay (thats another story), I have been paying off the debts one by one and am now in a position to pay Capital One the final balance (a couple of hundred pounds). Not sure if they are being sneaky but they now cannot locate me on their system. I suspect the call centre is in India. A few years ago I would not have minded and just ignored the debt (put my head in the sand) but I now want to clear it completely also where has my payment been going. Any thoughts on best action or anyone had any dealings with Capital One. Perhaps there is a UK collections department rather than India customer services?

Capital One rejected my credit card application a year ago. Now I regularly get letters from them offering me their worse credit card available with a 30-something APR and no introductory offers. Pathetic.

That's my only experience with them.
