Karoo topped the charts in the Broadband Choices speed test for April. Virgin Media also fared well in the welter weight category, and Orange gave a decent showing in the same division. Is this a fair reflection of these ISP’s service at large? Did we get it right?
I own Karoo, started them in my backyard shed with my brother Darren. Since such an inau****ious beginning, we have gone on to be the finest and cleanest source of broadband in the Yorkshire provinces (and Hull, which is just another step on our road to domination of the North West).
Mock Karoo all you like, but when was the last time you set up a broadband provider?
There is no harm in plugging an ISP on this forum. With a variety of ISPs offering services, even from a shed locally we have the freedom of choice. If we only had the choice of one ISP and they sucked - say Virgin Media formerley NTL; we would be stuck with rubbish service and charged 25pence a minute for them to do nothing. By the way did I mention we are with Virgin Media and we seldom get 4mb speeds for which we pay. If I was up North and Karoo offered good reliable speeds at a good rate, why wouldn't I subscribe .. .come on, get with the freedom of independant ISPs....
