Thanks for your question wurzcliff59, you've asked something that a lot of people will be asking following all the recent mergers and takeovers.

Below I've listed some of the banking groups, and the banks and credit cards that come under the different groups:

RBS Group:
NatWest
RBS
Tesco
Mint

Lloyds TSB Group:
Following merger ---> Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS)
Aqua
Halifax
Lloyds TSB
IF
Sainsbury's

MBNA:
Virgin
MBNA
Alliance & Leicester
BMI
WWF
Breakthrough ****** Cancer
British Heart Foundation
National Trust
England Rugby
Football Credit Card
RSPCA
Sony
Shelter
Virgin Atlantic.

HFC Bank:
GM Card

HSBC Group:
HSBC
M&S

Bank of Ireland Group:
Post Office
BoI

Vanquis:
Vanquis Credit Card

I'm afraid I don't know about these ones though:

Nationwide

American Exprerss
British Airways
Nectar
Mini
BMW

Barclaycard
Goldfish

Citibank
Shell
Egg
Easyjet
Bmi Baby

The Co-operatitive
Smile

Hope this helps

Becca
