I signed up for Broadband option 1 in July '07. My first bill (unitemised) was for the home hub, installation etc so I could not determine what I was paying for broadband. My second bill was for more than I anticpated (paid by direct debit). Can any of you bloggers tell me how they find out from BT what exactly they are being charged for - particularly the start date of their download measurement and the measurements. I have also almost given up on my attempts to cancel a rental telephone which is obsolete and unused. I suppose if they publicised an address for this sort of unprofitable service people might actually use it and we can't have that!
Typical BT. I have been at war with them since August'07. Partly re the Payment charge and your experience of them taking more than you expected highlights one of my main concerns. I prefer to pay online where the money goes direct into thier bank, the same as happens with DD. BT apparently bank with Barclays. On Barclays website there is a section for business account holders which encourages customers to pay online as it is cheaper for the business - but BT won't acknowledge this. I have sent over 80 e-mails most of which state I will not deal with Indian call centres - so what do I get? No prizes for guessing
Phone calls from India. BT customer service is diabolical.
So best of luck if you try calling them up - don't hold your breath
