we are a small community centre run by a committee of volunteers and have charity status. We have been in dispute with npower on and off for nearly 5 years but recently they have surpassed themselves. They have changed our account number, contract number and even the name on the invoice without informing us they have even decided to bill us monthly instead of quarterly. We have received a default account of almost £8,000 which we have not received invoices for and they state our meters have been read when we know for a fact they have'nt. Despite dozens of phone calls, letters and emails we just get the same answer "you'll have to pay, we will work out a payment plan for you". We are at the end of our tether I personally am worried to death over this, has anyone got any ideas as to what to do next, I m sure npower have no idea how their actions affect peoples lifes.
