In the light of energy bill increases, rising food prices and exorbitant petrol costs, what are the best ways to tighten your belt and get by on a limited budget? Does anyone have any useful money saving tips?

Spend less.

Personally I've never spent more than right now, but then I believe the credit crunch is a fabrication designed to confuse the working classes.

Working on that assumption, would a mass closure of all Argos (and Argos Extra) stores halt the credit crisis?

It would certainly be a start. Then I'd move onto Lidl, Next and maybe George at Asda.

I'm not an economist, but I'm fairly sure that would inhibit any further decline - if you can stop the main places the WC shop then the battle is half won. They'll just stay at home and spawn instead.

They're fertile, i'll give you that, but Next? Are you serious?

Believe me, i'm no patron (such dreary wares), but is that really a bastion outlet of the working man? I beg to differ.

Moreover, they're struggling themselves:

On the bright side it has made share prices cheaper.

I read that as 'Sugar and Hawking join National Front'.

Plausible i guess, particularly Hawking.
