If they relocate their call centres to India because of cheap labour, they sure as hell better pass on the savings given they're also lowering the quality at the same time.
Just because the call center moved to India does'nt mean the quality will decrease. There are good and bad call centres in both the UK and India. Plus you usually need a degree to work in an Indian call centre, so they are a lot more educated too.
I talked to 5 different people in Virgin Media call centres outside of the UK recently, all who could not understand the technicalities of the problem I have.
They charge a 'local' rate with 0845 .... As I have an internet phone nos. that start with 08..09...etc are not local.
They say that if the fault is theirs they will refund the cost of your calls, but when they do not admit to any fault being theirs there is no way you get the money back you spent endlessly talking to people who are not going to solve anything but a very very simple problem!
Then you hear what profits they made and you can see why!
Grrrrrrrr...
Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe!
some people like to call customer services if they want to change there package, or move address ect... not only when there is a problem with the service.
Apparently it's free if you call using your Orange phone, but if you're calling them because of your Orange phone (i.e. the sim isn't registering...) then your screwed!
I know they're aren't an ISP, but my experience on the phone with the lady at t-mobile yesterday left me in tears :(
She was having a bad day and took it out on me!! She did say sorry after I told her that even though I'd cancelled my contract with t-mobile I'd taken out a new one with them the same day...
